Man it feels like I've been working on this room for ages and if you follow me on Instagram you've seen a few sneak peeks already! Tons of work was done earlier this year but it has taken a while for me to get my butt in gear and get the finishing touches and last DIYs finished. But it was worth all the work and waiting because I LOVE this room!

Ok the BIG day is here! I am finally going to post the "after" shots of the staircase! I know a couple of posts back I talked all about the beautiful rugs by Dash + Albert and then at the end told you that I didn't pick one of their rugs so you're probably wondering which rug I did pick. Drum roll please....!

Hello again! Sorry for all the time between posts, where did May go?! I've heard that many of you are waiting to see the final results but this is not that post! This post will show you a little bit of the process we took to get the stairs finished.

When I first found this post on Centsational Girl I read it through many times. I loved the painted risers and treads and the use of the woven cotton rug from Dash & Albert made a lot of sense. The pile was not too thick to make it easy for stapling, the cotton would be hard wearing and most importantly, they came in a variety of colours and patterns.
